Bran Mash's are especially good for old horses with bad teeth.2 cups brown-sugar oatmeal (dry).
Half-Cup grated carrots
3 tablespoons molasses half cup brown sugar
Combine all these ingredients. Add enough water to make into soft dough. Stir well.
Put into oven on 365 degrees until golden brown and crisp.Ingredients:
1 packet of Quaker oatmeal (dry)
1 handful of Sweet Feed
2 spoonfuls Applesauce
1 spoonful Honey or Molasses
1 handful Cherrios
4 Sugar cubes
a pinch of Brown Sugar
½ cup Water
Method
You can mix this right in your horse’s feed bucket. Mix the oatmeal with the water. Add sweet feed and applesauce. Stir together. Add the Cheerios, brown sugar, and honey or molasses. Mix again and place sugar cubes on top. This serves one horse.
Ingredients
1 cup uncooked Oats
1 cup Flour
1 cup shredded Carrots
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Sugar
2 teaspoons Vegetable oil
¼ cup Molasses
Method
Mix ingredients in bowl as listed. Make little balls and place on cookie sheet. (spray the cookie sheet with oil or Pam.) Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
2 Cups Dry Oatmeal
3/4 Cup Grain
3 Cups Bran
1 Cup Molasses
Mix Oats, Grain and Bran together in a bucket. Drizzle in Molasses while
mixing with you hands (you're looking for a consistency a little thinner
than Play-Doh). Place dollups (about half a handful) on a cookie sheet
and bake at 350 for ten minutes. These have a tendency to burn. They never
get completely hard, but they store nicely

- Sweet Feed Horse Cookies
Ingredients
• powdered sugar
• 4 cups sweet feed
• 1/4 cup brown sugar
• 3 cups molasses
• 2 grated carrots
• 2 grated apples
• 1/2 cup flour
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Mix together all ingredients, except powdered sugar
3. Form into large balls and press flat onto greased cookie sheet
4. Bake for 20 minutes
5. Wait till cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar

5 chopped carrots
Molasses, as much as you want
2 cups oats or quick oats
Any type of grain
Soak carrots for 15 minutes. After they have soaked, place them in a large bowl. Add molasses. Stir until carrots are completly covered with molasses. Mix in grain. Add more molasses until grain is covered. When you have done all the steps, roll them in the oats and form a ball. Wrap the balls in foil and freeze them. When you're going to hit the trail, just let em' thaw!

Any part of a tomato plant - toxic to horses and many other animals.
Fruit with pits - take the pits out and its probably okay.
Anything moldy
Acorns
Ragwort - A weed
Meat
Grass Clippings - it can cause founder or be moldy.
